Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has advocated for a peaceful atmosphere in the state which, he said, was the pre-requisite for all developmental activities.

"Infrastructure development is being taken due care of by the government but for every development and growth, peaceful atmosphere and positive image of the people and place are prerequisites," he said while interacting with locals at Yagrung in East Siang district yesterday.

Tuki also inaugurated two buildings of the government secondary school besides laying the foundation stone of the circle office, official sources said here today.

Accompanied by Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Ninong Ering, and MPs Takam Sanjoy and Raj Babbar, Tuki assured the people to provide funds for renovation and reconstruction works on bridges on the Pasighat-Ledum-Tene road which were badly damaged during flood.

Tuki also said necessary steps would be taken for flood control measures, and sanctioned Rs one crore for infrastructure development including construction of the circle office building and staff quarters, the sources added.
