Panther dies at Bhopal zoo

The animal died yesterday. He had stopped eating since May 8 due to the sickness, park officials said.

The sickness was possibly caused by lung infection, they said.

Aman was born at Van Vihar on August 16, 2001.

After he stopped taking food, the park veterinarians had put him on intravenous fluids and oxygen.

Exact cause of the death would be known after the post mortem, said A K Khare, Assistant Director, Van Vihar National Park.
