Chandigarh: Over 2,400 students have been booked for indulging in unfair practices during the semester examinations of Board of School Education Haryana that concluded today, a senior Board official said. Twenty teachers were also relieved of examination duty in this regard, Board`s Secretary D K Behera said, adding that as many as 2,447 candidates were caught for malpractices.

Examinations of some subjects conducted at 22 centres were cancelled and 17 centres were shifted to other places, he said. More than 7.60 lakh students appeared for the senior and senior secondary examinations in 1,591 centres, the official said. While 15,227 supervisors and 1,591 centre superintendents were deputed on examination duty, 251 flying squads also formed to ensure fair conduct of examinations.

The Board had set up control rooms at Rohtak, Gurgaon, Fatehabad, Kurukshetra and Board Headquarters, Bhiwani for effective monitoring of these examinations. Examinations which were cancelled at 22 examination centres would soon be held, Behera said.
