Pune: Four low-intensity explosions occurred this evening in the busy Junglee Maharaj Road area here injuring one person, police said. The explosions took place near Balgandharva Theatre, at Dena Bank branch and a McDonald joint, while one was reported in a dustbin in the area, police said, adding entire area has been cordoned off.

Maharashtra ATS and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads reached the spots, police said. Asked if it was a terror attack, Maharashtra DGP Sanjeev Dayal told PTI, "It is not appropriate to comment at this moment. Police teams have reached the spots and are looking into the matter." In February 2010, more than 15 people were killed in a bomb blast at German Bakery in the city.
