After the ban on TikTok, Instagram reels have become the unequivocal talk of the town. It has not only made many famous but has also regrettably led to the deaths of several Indians. While reels can be a great source of entertainment, it has also become the cause of accidents, fights, and even murder in some instances.

In a glaring example is this young girl from Chamba of Himachal Pradesh. The young girl was making romantic reels, running around green pastures amidst nature when she rolled down the hill. Caught on camera, the viral video shows moments before the disaster.

The 16-second video begins with the girl flying her dupatta atop a hill and dancing to a romantic number. She is then running around on the steep hill when she loses her balance and rolls directly down from the hill.

Lucky for her, the hill was filled with grass, protecting her from injuries. Otherwise, she would have lost her life or be admitted to a hospital with injuries. The rising use of Instagram among youths has become a matter of serious concern now.

Netizens in the comments section are wondering if making reels for views was more important than life.

“People should have sense on where to make reels, not every platform is for content creation,” shared a user.

Another user commented, “Reels ka chakkar maut se takkar 😂” “aur banao reel. Didi toh reel ke chakar main rail ban gayi,” shared another user.

Not just this, there are numerous such incidents of accidents due to reels. Things have accelerated to a whole new level since the advent of reels.

Earlier, a woman killed her husband after he objected her to making reels. The woman was so obsessed with reels that she decided to kill her own husband. Not just that, a couple in West Bengal even sold their eight-month-old baby boy to buy an iPhone 14 to make reels.
