Thane: Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Thursday said there was no need for him to meet NCP chief Sharad Pawar after yoga guru Ramdev had met the Union Minister two days ago and discussed the black money issue.

Asked by reporters whether he will meet Pawar to enlist the support for his anti-graft campaign, Hazare said there was no need for this.

Ramdev had met Pawar and discussed the issue of brining back black money stashed abroad, he said here. "If now I try to meet Pawar, it will be an insult to him (Ramdev)," the veteran social activist maintained.

"Whether Baba Ramdev meets (politicians) or I meet, it does not matter. We have decided to meet the leaders and convince them (about our issues)," the Gandhian said.

Pawar and Ramdev had met in New Delhi on June 5. After the meeting, Pawar had said there was a need for everyone to examine how to adopt the path suggested by Ramdev and move forward.

Pawar is among the 15 Union Ministers against whom Team Anna has leveled allegations of corruption. Ramdev had met BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Monday.
