Rourkela: A man was arrested on Monday for allegedly killing his sister at Loknath Market area under Tangarpalli police limit on the outskirt of the city.
Police said the accused Manoranjan Sarangi (26) stabbed his sister, Runulata (20), to death due to family quarrel and fled away from the spot.However, he was nabbed soon after and the knife used in the crime was also seized from his possession.
Runulata was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced her brought dead.
Police investigation was on.
One feared drowned in Kathajodi
Cuttack: A 35-year-old youth was feared drowned in river Kathajodi here this afternoon where he was bathing along with his other relatives.
Ripu Ray, a native of Baselisahi in Machhuabazar went missing while he was bathing in the river near the Khan Nagar spur, police sources said.
