Lord Paul hails Pranab candidature for Prez

London: Hailing the candidature of Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for the post of President, leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul today said that India needed a "wise and seasoned leader like him in Rashtrapati Bhawan".

Paul said that Mukherjee had spent a lifetime in public life and will bring his vast and outstanding experience to the highest post. It would be in the fitness of things if the veteran Congress leader received support from all parties which would reflect well on the Indian political system, he said.
