At a time when the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have prepared their strategies for the 2024 big fight, the Congress in Odisha is not lagging behind. The grand old party has also prepared a blueprint to woo voters. Several important decisions have been taken at a campaigning committee meeting held today in Bhubaneswar.

With the rural votes being the focus of the party, the party has decided to put up banners and posters in villages and invigorate the booth-level workers.

Besides, the state unit of the party has been green-signalled to give tickets to 60 percent of the candidates and start the groundwork, informed sources. The party has decided to give extra importance to youths, students and women.

The party has also decided to go to the voters highlighting issues like increasing prices of essential commodities and center’s apathy towards the state.

“We have decided to strengthen the party from the grassroots level. We also discussed what will be our narratives, how we will reach out to the people, and which issues we should take to the people. In the coming days, we will implement all these things,” informed Congress Campaign Committee chairman, Bijay Patnaik.
