Hillary treated to Bengali sweets

Kolkata: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her entourage were treated to traditional Bengali sweets `katchagoollah` and `sandesh` during the meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Writers` Building.

Hillary drank black coffee without sugar at the nearly hour-long meeting which took place at the conference room.

The chief minister, who was clad in her trademark blue bordered sari and chappals, gifted Clinton a kantha-stitch scarf, one of her own paintings and copies of Rabindranath Tagore`s Gitanjali and Gitabitan.
