Jalandhar: Heroin worth Rs 20 crore in the international market was today seized from the India-Pakistan border at Ferozpur sector by the Border Security Force here.

BSF's Jalandhar-based Punjab frontier Inspector General Anil Paliwal said that during the patrolling, force personnel found four packets of heroin, each weighing 1kg at New Mohammadi Wala border outpost in Ferozepur sector at the international border.

The weight of recovered heroin is 4kg and its worth in the international market is around Rs 20 crore, he added.

Till now, BSF has recovered a total of around 48 kg of smuggled heroin in Punjab, he said.
