Bangladesh has been experiencing mass unrest and protests. It has further intensified after Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country on Monday. Violent protests across the country have resulted in hundreds of deaths and property damage. Several disturbing videos from Bangladesh are circulating on social media. Amid the unrest and ensuing violence, a purported video of a Bangladeshi YouTuber has surfaced in which he reportedly shows a 'secret way' to enter India without a Passport or a Visa.
Undoubtedly, border areas are high-security zones. However, despite high efforts, people from Bangladesh enter India either with the help of corrupt officials or through 'porous borders'. The India-Bangladesh border is quite long and there are many unmanned and vulnerable areas across the border. People from the neighbouring country easily enter India illegally, without a Passport or Visa.
While it is a matter of serious concern, recently the video of the Bangladeshi YouTuber is doing rounds on social media. In the video, he shows such a 'porous border' through which one can easily cross the border.
The YouTuber can be seen standing near a fence stretching a long distance. As the video continues, he can be seen walking alongside the fence. After walking up to a distance, he steps down and takes a sloppy path. He walks down towards a passage meant for water flow. A huge pipeline can be seen just below the fence with three openings to the other side of the fence.
From the conversation between the youth holding the camera and the other youth explaining the speciality of the place, it is clearly audible that the pipeline directly opens to the otherside. A person will directly step on Indian land after crossing the pipeline. Further, the second youth explains that people without passports and visas opt for this route and enter India. While an outpost is seen on the otherside of the fence, no army man can be seen in the vicinity. Several others can be seen taking a stroll near the fence without any worries.
The video shared on Instagram by GK_AND_FACTS has gone viral. While the authenticity of the video and the claims made by the youths couldn't be verified, it has sparked outrage among netizens.
One user wrote, "I think he exposed the loopholes. Just imagine, how many anti-Indian elements crossed the border and illegally settled in West Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and many parts of India." (sic)
Another wrote, "This is a major problem in my state. This is the reason which led our tribe to become a minority community in our land." (sic)
"Please increase security in borders. And whoever doing such things should be imprisoned," wrote a third user. (sic)
