Arshad Warsi’s statement on Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD a few days ago has once again triggered a debate between South movies and Bollywood. While the Golmaal actor called Prabhas a joker, today in an interview even Rishab Shetty slammed Bollywood for showing India in a bad light internationally. Amid all these discussions and debates, a throwback video of SS Rajamouli from the time of Prabhas’ Billa promotions has now gone viral.
In the video clip, the RRR director can be seen comparing Prabhas with Hrithik Roshan . It was during the period when Hrithik’s Dhoom 2 was released and everyone was going ga ga over the superstar’s dancing, looks, and acting.
Talking about the same, Rajamouli said, “When Dhoom 2 released in Hindi I felt sad that why Bollywood is getting good quality. Why we don’t have heroes like Hrithik Roshan? And today after watching the song and poster of Billa. And now we watched the trailer, now I want to say that Hrithik Roshan is nothing compared to Prabhas.”
Rajamouli continued, “Telugu cinema has become far better than Bollywood. And now we are equal to English films.”
Now it is almost impossible for Bollywood lovers to accept that Prabhas is much better than Hrithik Roshan in both looks and dancing. But looking at the current trend it can be easily said that South has been delivering better content as compared to Bollywood.
Importantly, actors and directors from the South are in huge demand among the Bollywood superstars who want to continue delivering hits. While Shah Rukh Khan teamed up with Atlee for Jawan, now Salman Khan is working with AR Murugadoss for Sikandar.
Another good thing is that a lot of cross-over between the actors is now taking place with leading actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Sanjay Dutt working in Southern flicks whereas actresses like Nayanthara, Samantha and Rashmika Mandanna are working in Hindi projects.
