Popular Indian crime thriller web series Mirzapur has drawn viewers' attention for its intense storyline and strong character portrayals. Created by Puneet Krishna and helmed by Karan Anshuman and Gurmeet Singh, Mirzapur, the web show has been praised for its gripping plot and strong dialogues. Pankaj Tripathi as the ruthless mafia boss Kaleen Bhaiya aka Akhandanand Tripathi won everyone's heart with his stellar performance. Even Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Divyendu Sharma as Munna Tripathi, Vikrant Massey as Bablu Pandit along with Shweta Tripathi and Rasika Dugal in major roles have added depth to the narrative. While viewers enjoyed the power struggles, crime, and revenge in the fictional town of Mirzapur on OTT, they will now be able to witness the crime thriller saga on big screens.
As per the latest reports, the makers have made an official announcement about Mirzapur: The Film which will be released in theatres. The makers dropped an announcement video of the same in which the major characters from the show, Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit, Munna Tripathi and Compounder are seen making the revelations about the theatrical release.
All the major characters from the show are seen in their respective roles and making the announcement with the same power and intense way. The announcement video promises an intense battle between the trio (Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Munna Tripathi for the throne of Mirzapur.

As per the updates, the makers have targets to release the movie in 2026.

Notably, after the humongous success of Mirzapur: Season 1 and Season 2, Mirzapur: Season 3 was released on July 5, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video. However, the third instalment didn't meet the expectations of a section of the audience.
