Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has directed for the formulation of a tribal sub-plan (TSP) so that development works in remote areas are executed within their stipulated time-frame.

"The district development commissioners should formulate the TSP and in consultation with public representatives and board members get these passed in the District Development Board meetings along with normal district plans," Omar said yesterday at the 32nd meeting of state advisory board for development of Gujjar and Bakerwal area here.

This would ensure timely flow of funds from the Centre and help to implement and execute works within the prescribed timeline, he said.

Omar also directed for the formulation of long term strategy for the benefit of Gujjar and Bakerwal communities.

The chief minister said grass root public representatives and members of various advisory boards would be involved in the formulation of fresh BPL lists to make it comprehensive, complete and authentic.
