Odisha Govt To Allocate 10 Cr For Bhubaneswar Beautification Ahead Of High-Profile Events

Bhubaneswar, the capital city, is set to host several important events and dignitaries in the coming days, including the President, Prime Minister, and Home Minister.

Therefore extensive planning is underway for cleanliness and beautification of the state capital. 
Sources indicate that the state government will provide Rs 10 crore to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the drive. 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are expected to attend the DGP conference in Bhubaneswar, while President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit on December 3. 
The city will also host the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas at the end of January 2025, celebrating the Indian diaspora. Additionally, a series of cultural street festivals, such as Path Utsav, will be held in Ekamra, Central, and north Bhubaneswar. Dates for these events will be finalized soon. 
For these high-profile visits and events, the city will be adorned. From roads to walls, everything will be decorated, and statues across the city will be illuminated.
