New Delhi: A city-based Christian group has decided to postpone its state-level Christmas celebrations 'Maishi Mahotsav 2012' to express solidarity with the victim of the Delhi gangrape.
 
"...the Christians of Delhi NCR have decided to postpone the biggest ever state-level Christmas celebrations 'Maishi Mahotsav' scheduled for December 29 at Ramlila Maidan to Easter, 2013," the group said in a statement here.
 
The decision was taken "on the advise of spiritual heads of churches and very specifically to express solidarity with the victim of the gruesome rape incident and the people protesting against it and also the loss of a Delhi police official on duty," it said in the release.
