Dalai Lama to visit Jammu

Jammu: To give a fillip to pilgrim tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, spiritual leader Dalai Lama will visit Buddhist places on the outskirts of the city on November 16.

The Dalai Lama would visit Amabaran, an ancient Buddhist place, in Akhnoor border belt, Health and Horticulture minister Sham Lal Sharma told reporters here today.

He would also address a gathering of school children in Akhnoor, he said adding his visit would give a boost to pilgrim tourism in Jammu division.
