Dharamshala: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama on Sunday registered his name and other details in the second phase of Indian Census 2011.

The 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso at his residence in Mecleodganj met Himachal Pradesh census director Balbir Tegta, district census officer A L Sharma and area official Sangeeta Shekhri and provided them required information.

The officials after meeting said the Tibetan leader was excited and also appealed to Indians to cooperate in the marathon exercise.
