Jajpur: Armed dacoits looted a jewellery shop on Jajpur Road, one of the main business centres of Odisha. The dacoits also hurled several bombs during the attack on Thursday night leaving two persons injured, police said today. About 20 armed dacoits came in five motor-cycles and stormed into the shop on Jajpur Road after leaving their bikes near Natapada village, they said.

They barged into the jewellery shop after scaring away the public by hurling a series of hand bombs. Later they looted the gold jewellery at gun point and fled the scene while hurling crude bombs. Four persons sustained injuries due to the bomb attack and they were rushed to the local government hospital. The Jajpur police has failed to get any clue about the gang and was beating the bushes to crack the team.
