The School of Mathematical Sciences of National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar has invited applications for the Summer Internship program. The summer internship program is meant for students registered/enrolled in the science-related UG/PG degree course in the recognized Universities/ Collages/ Institutions.
The program aims to provide hands-on training to the UG/PG science students interested in Mathematical Sciences, as a short-term project.
As per the official NISER notification, the intern/student will work under the guidance/supervision of a faculty member from SMS.
Summer Internship Details
Summer Internship students will be allowed for 2 months (during from 16th May to 25th July 2025).
No extension for a longer stay will be considered in this program.
Students who have availed this program earlier at SMS-NISER will not be considered again.
Applicants need to mention the name of concerned Principal Investigators (PI).
Students interested in multiple PI may apply separately to the respective PI.
The selection of students will be done by the respective PI / Faculty.
Selected students will be given financial support as per the rule of the institute if they are not supported by any other source.

Interested students may apply for the above programs using the prescribed application form available on the NISER website. Applications will be received through e-mail only. The last date to apply for these programs is March 31, 2025.
