New Delhi: Congress on Sunday welcomed as "good news" the decision of yoga guru Ramdev to call off his fast against corruption.

"It is a good news that Ramdev has broken his fast," Congress General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said here responding to the development.

Ramdev was observing a fast for the past nine days to protest against corruption and black money issues. He was admitted to the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences in Dehradun on Friday after his condition deteriorated at his ashram in Haridwar.
