Bollywood has big expectations from the movies releasing in upcoming few years. The last year was commercially very bad for Bollywood as only Stree 2 and Munjya could earn the tag of a superhit. This year and in the coming couple of years some big movies like Love and War starring Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt or Dhurandhar featuring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna will hit the theaters.
Just as there are huge expectations from fresh pairs like Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna or Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela, fans are also eager to see movies of actors paired with hit directors for the first time.
Vicky Kaushal and Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Vicky Kaushal and SLB are teaming up for the first time for Love and War. Based on the classic hit Sangam starring Raj Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar, and Vyjayanthimala the movie is a love triangle and will also feature Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. While both Alia and Ranbir have worked with SLB and also with Vicky Kaushal in different movies, the three are for the first time coming together for a movie.
Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar
After Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh has now been roped in to take the Don franchise forward. Don 3 will be directed by Farhan Akhtar and for the first time, the 83 actor will be seen playing a dynamic role that will require him to underplay a lot. It is for the first time that Ranveer Singh is being directed by Farhan although the two earlier worked as co-actors in Zoya Akhtar's directorial- Dil Dhadakne Do.
Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu
A lot has been discussed about the collaboration between Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu, who are coming together for the first time. Reports indicate that the two are working on Aashiqui 3 but nothing has been revealed in detail as of now. Pritam has been roped in as the music composed for this love drama.
Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari
Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari are working together for the first time in Ramayana. Based on the famous mythological epic, Ranbir plays Lord Rama while Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play Sita. The star cast is a strong point of this movie with Yash playing Ravan, and Sunny Deol portraying Hanuman.
Ramayana is being made in two parts and the production house is using all the top-notch technical resources to make the scenes realistic and impactful on the silver screen.
Aditya Roy Kapur- Raj & DK
Raj & DK gained fame with The Family Man. Both the parts from this OTT franchise have received a huge response and now The Family Man 3 is in progress. Their last release Citadel: Honey Bunny starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan received a lukewarm response. Now the duo are pairing with Aditya Roy Kapur for the first time with Rakt Bramhand-The Bloody Kingdom.
