Ahead of the 5th phase of polling on April 17, senior political leaders have hit the campaign trail and are addressing multiple rallies in West Bengal. Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah held back-to-back roadshows in the state, one in Nadia district’s Santipur and the other in Ranaghat Dakshin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed an election rally at Talit Sai Centre in Purba Burdman. Urging voters to give Mamata a big farewell by voting for BJP, Amit Shah promised that after his party comes to power, political and poll-related violence will end in West Bengal. TMC’s Mamata Banerjee is also holding mega rallies in the state.
