Textile plant in Bhadrak soon: Odisha Industries Minister 

The Odisha government is set to establish a textile plant in Bhadrak, as announced by Industries Minister Sampad Swain in the Assembly. The plant will utilise by-products from a mega feed cracker plant to be set up at Paradip, in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

The government is planning to set up a textile plant in Bhadrak, Industries Minister Sampad Swain informed the Odisha Assembly on Friday. 

While replying to a question put up by BJD MLA Sanjib Malick, Minister Swain informed the House that a mega feed cracker plant will be set up at Paradip. The by-product of this plant will be used at the textile plant in Bhadrak. This will be carried out in association with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). 

The Minister also informed that more MSME parks will be established in the state to create more employment opportunities.

Similarly, while answering a question asked by Congress MLA Sofia Firdous, Minister Swain said the MLAs should ask the district administration to ensure employment of local youths. “If the local administration doesn’t cooperate, the members should inform me and we will work to make sure that local youths get employment at the industries in their respective districts,” he added.
