Jammu: Reaching out to the unemployed youth in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir, the Army will organise a recruitment drive in five such districts of Jammu region.

The drive will be launched from August 2 in Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Uhampur and Reasi districts to select soldiers, clerks and nursing assistants, a defence spokesman said here today.

"Army Recruiting Office, Jammu, will organise recruitment rally for soldier (general duty), soldier (technical), soldier (clerk/store keeper) and soldier (nursing assistant) categories at Reasi district from August 2 to 7, for candidates hailing from Doda and Ramban districts on August 2, in Kishtwar and Reasi districts on August 3 and in Udhampur district on August 4," the spokesman said.

The Army has been reaching out to far-flung and remote areas of Jammu region to recruit youth from mountainous and remote belts from the past one year, he added.
