Akhilesh reviews functioning of dairy department

Reviewing the functioning of the dairy development department here, he instructed officials to make financial arrangements in the next budget for setting up a modern dairy plant with the capacity of handling five lakh litres per day.

Yadav told the officials that all necessary steps for granting the status of small industry to the dairy business would be taken soon. With a view to strengthening the marketing of Parag products, the Chief Minister said the help of NID, Ahmedabad, would be taken for packaging and designing works.

Yadav directed setting up of Parag milk parlours in educational institutes like IIM, Lucknow, and in other places like near the Lohia path in a week`s time. He also asked for initiating steps for running the dairy plant at Saifai in Etawah.
