At a time when the hike in DA as per recommendations of 7th Pay Commission is eagerly being awaited, Union Minister Jitendra Singh has made a big announcement for the Central government employees.
If you are hard-working and dedicated to your job, you will definitely get rewarded in the best possible way- this line fits to Singh’s recent announcement on January 18 for 52 lakh employees taking 7th Pay Commission benefits.
According to a report of DNA, while meeting a delegation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), Jitendra Singh said that the Narendra Modi government has been rewarding honest and hard-working Central government employees through promotion.
Singh said that the Department of Personnel and Training, DoPT, is constantly making efforts to make the employees’ promotion process easier and faster. However, the process sometimes get hampered due to the lawsuits filed from time to time, he said.
Creation of a conducive working environment where the government employees can give their best is necessary, added the Union Minister.
On the other hand, the Modi government is likely to unfreeze the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) this month.
If the government unfreezes the DA, the Central government employees will get it at the current 28 per cent rate of inflation.
As per media reports, the development came after the Association of Employees Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers apprised the Union Finance Minister regarding the current status of the government treasury.
