Shirdi: A local court has directed police to conduct a probe and register a case against three trustees of the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan, accused of cheating the trust.

The accused K C Pandey, Capt. Suresh Vasudeva and Urmila Jadhav allegedly submitted fake travelling bills and cheated the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan of Rs 1.67 lakh between 2004-2007, police said.

RTI activist filed had filed a case with a Judicial Magistrate First Class court at Rahata, alleging that the trio, with the help of Sansthan`s vehicle department chief Bhausaheb Shinde and Pradeep Jadhav, husband of Urmila, prepared fake bills and recovered Rs 1.67 lakh as transport allowance from the trust.

The JMFC on Thursday directed Shirdi Police to probe the allegations and register a cheating case against the three accused, police said.
