Kotdwara (Uttarakhand): Eleven people died and 60 others fell ill after consuming a wild boar in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, prompting the state government to initiate a magisterial inquiry into the incident, officials said here today. "Chief Minister B C Khanduri has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident yesterday," a senior official said.

Eleven people died and 60 others fell ill after consuming a wild boar, which was found dead at a field, at Pinani village on October 9. The chief minister also announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each to the kin of the deceased.
