A 4-ft snake was rescued from a bird’s cage in Bhubaneswar’s Bhimatangi area. The cobra had sneaked into the cage to prey on the birds. However, the house owner spotted the snake while it was trying to escape from the cage. Fearing that the snake might enter the house, the bird’s owner blocked the reptile’s way using a broom.

Well-known cartoonist of Odisha, Kishore Rath breathed his last on Monday during treatment at the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. According to family sources, Rath (58) complained of severe chest pain last night following which he was rushed to the hospital.
A massive fire broke out in the seized vehicle and goods compound of Kheda Police Station in Gujarat. More than 25 vehicles including motorcycles, auto rickshaws and cars were gutted in the fire.
