OTV Mini Marathon: Bhubaneswar runs towards life on World AIDS Day

Bhubaneswar: Like every year hundreds of people gathered early in the morning on World AIDS Day,1st December at OSAP 7th battalion ground in Bhubaneswar to run for a common cause of creating awareness about HIV AIDS among common people at OTV Mini Marathon organized on the occasion of World AIDS Day. Odisha’s No.1 News Channel, OTV organises Bhubaneswar Mini-Marathon and more than 5000 participants respond to the appeal – “Let’s run towards life”. The enthusiasm inspires many more as OTV covers the entire event LIVE.

Many well-known personalities of Odisha from different fields joined this noble initiative by Odisha Television Limited. Officiating Commanding officer Lt. Col. J .S Bahadhauria of 120battalion of Indian Army located at Bhubaneswar. will flagging off the race in presence of Olympian Anuradha Biswal, former Indian football captain Sradhanjali Samantaray, mountaineer Kalpana Dash.

After completion of the Mini-marathon, it will reach in the same OSAP ground (7th battalion) where a closing ceremony will be organised & Dr. B.Gitanjali, Director, AIIMS of Bhubaneswar will be the chief guest of this function and guest of honour will be M.S. Kala,CGM,SBI Odisha.There will be some cine artists and protagonists will perform with singers Bishnu Mohan Kabi, Satyajit Pradhan, Tariq Aziz, Pragya Hota, Arpita, Suman and actors Sabyasachi, Elina Samantaray, Arindam, Jyoti, Bhumika, Sibani among others.

This initiative was started by OTV in the year 2009 which has reached to its 10th edition this year. The objective of “OTV mini marathon” is to create awareness about HIV AIDS among the common people and inspire them lead a healthy life.
