  • A total of 1.5 crore eligible Delhi voters sealed the fate of 699 candidates in the Assembly election on Wednesday to pick a new 70-member House with the turnout hovering around 60 per cent till reports last came in at 6 p.m., an official said.

  • All 70 Assembly Constituencies of the National Capital Territory of Delhi went to polls today in a peaceful atmosphere. The polling started at 7 AM, and will continue till 6 PM. 

    The provisional Voter Turnout (VTR)  as updated till 5 PM is 57.7 % at the polling stations. All voters in queue after formal closing hours of polling i.e 6 PM are allowed to cast their vote, informed Election Commission of India

Delhi Elections 2025 LIVE Updates: 33.31 per cent turnout till 1 p.m.

  • Delhi recorded a turnout of 33.31 per cent till 1 p.m. as young and old voters turned out to cast ballots to choose a new 70-member Assembly on Wednesday, an official said.   

    The exercise remained largely peaceful with voting percentage rising quickly after a cool morning made way for a warm afternoon.

    Till 11 a.m. on Wednesday, North East Delhi district led the pack with 24.87 per cent turnout and New Delhi district recorded the lowest turnout of 16.46 per cent. Shahdara district recorded the next highest turnout of 23.30 per cent. South West district 21.90 per cent, East district 20.03 per cent, North West and South districts 19.75 per cent, South East 19.66 per cent, and West district 17.67 per cent.

Delhi Elections 2025: LIVE Updates: Nearly 30% turnout recorded till 11 am in Milkipur bypoll

  • Nearly 30 per cent votes were cast in the first two hours of polling for the bypoll in Milkipur Assembly constituency of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

    Voting began at 7 am and will continue till 5 pm, officials said.

    According to the Election Commission (EC), 29.86 per cent votes were cast till 11 am.

    The Milkipur bypoll has turned into a prestige battle between the Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party as the seat is part of the politically significant Ayodhya district.

    There are 255 polling centres and 414 polling stations for the election.

    More than 1.93 lakh men, and over 1.78 lakh women voters and eight third-gender people are registered to vote for the bypoll. There are 4,811 first-time voters in the assembly constituency.

  • Delhi recorded a voter turnout of 8.10 per cent as of 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday as polling continues across all 70 Assembly constituencies.   

    Among key constituencies, voter turnout stood at 7 per cent in New Delhi, 7.5 per cent in Jangpura, and 6.2 per cent in Kalkaji as of 9 a.m.

    Okhla registered a turnout of 7.90 per cent, Seelampur saw 11.02 per cent voting, Matia Mahal 6.49 per cent, Ballimaran 6.97 per cent, Mustafabad 12.43 per cent, Babarpur 9.36 per cent, and Chandni Chowk saw 4.53 per cent voting.
