As per the schedule, the 11-member team entered into the inner chamber of Puri Srimandir's Ratna Bhandar today. After the opening of the chamber, ornaments and valuables from the inner chamber of Ratna Bhandar are being shifted to the ‘Khatasheja’ room and it is expected to be completed by this evening. After the shiting is completed, the ‘Khatasheja’ room will be sealed and repair work of the inner chamber will be done ASI. "Only after the repair work is completed by the ASI, inventory work will begin," informed Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb on Thursday.
3 wooden almirahs, 1 steel almirah, 2 wooden chests, and 1 metal chest were found; these were opened and the ornaments were transferred in the same order they were in: High-level committee chief, Justice Biswanath Rath.
Putting all speculations to rest, all the gold ornaments stored in Lord Jagannath’s treasure trove also called the Ratna Bhandar were shifted to the temporary strong room inside the Puri Jagannath temple on Friday. The process of shifting gold ornaments and other valuables was done as per the SOP of the high-level Committee. The process took over seven hours today.
