The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has commenced the registration process for the Engineering Services Exam (ESE) 2026. Candidates aspiring to appear for the examination can access the direct application link through the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. The online application is also available on upsconline.nic.in.
The last date to submit applications is October 16, 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill 474 posts across various engineering services in the organisation.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the examination should hold a degree in Engineering from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament, or declared to be deemed as universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
Age Limits
Candidates should have attained the age of 21 years and should not have crossed the age of 30 years as of 1st January, 2026. In other words, applicants must have been born between 2nd January, 1996 and 1st January, 2005.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 200 for all candidates. However, female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, or PwBD categories are exempted from payment. The fee can be paid either by remitting the money at any branch of the State Bank of India or using Visa, Master, or RuPay Credit/Debit Cards, UPI payment, or Internet Banking from any bank.
