This year’s CGL recruitment drive witnessed nearly 28 lakh applications, with around 13.5 lakh candidates finally appearing for the computer-based test. The exam was conducted in 45 shifts over 15 days, spread across 255 centres in 126 cities. The Commission clarified that for all centres other than Mumbai, the examinations have already been completed.

Answer Key Release and Objections

SSC further announced that the tentative answer key will be released on October 15, 2025, a day after the re-exam. The objection window will also open on the same day, allowing candidates to challenge answers by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 100 per question.

All representations will be carefully examined before the final keys are prepared. The finalised version will be published on the Commission’s website following the declaration of results, and these will form the basis for evaluation.

Security Concerns Under Review

In its statement, the Commission disclosed that certain instances of remote access attempts had been detected during the exam. These are currently under detailed analysis. Where evidence is inconclusive, affected candidates will be asked to reappear on October 14, ensuring fairness and integrity in the selection process.
