IB Recruitment 2025: Applications open for 258 ACIO-II tech posts; apply by Nov 16

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has invited online applications for 258 posts of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical (ACIO-II/Tech) under its latest recruitment drive.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website of the Intelligence Bureau. The last date to submit applications is November 16, 2025.

According to the official notification, the vacancies are divided into two categories — 90 posts for Computer Science & Information Technology and 168 posts for Electronics & Communication.

The pay matrix for the positions is in the range of Rs 44,900 – Rs 1,42,400.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have secured qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025 in Electronics and Communication (GATE code: EC) or Computer Science and Information Technology (GATE code: CS).

In addition, they must possess either a B.E or B.Tech degree in fields such as Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science & Engineering from a recognised institution. Alternatively, candidates with a Master’s degree in Science (Electronics, Computer Science, or Physics with Electronics) or a Master’s in Computer Applications are also eligible.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years of age as on November 16, 2025, with age relaxation applicable as per government rules.

Fee Details

The recruitment processing charge is Rs 100 for all candidates, while male candidates from UR, EWS, and OBC categories must pay an additional Rs 100 examination fee, totalling Rs 200.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on GATE scores and called for a skill test and interview. The skill test will assess technical competence, while the interview will evaluate subject knowledge and communication skills. Final selection will be based on combined performance in the GATE exam, skill test, and interview.

Applications can be submitted online only through www.mha.gov.in or www.ncs.gov.in. No other mode of application will be accepted.
