The United States and six Arab countries on Monday strongly condemned Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks across West Asia, calling them “indiscriminate,” “reckless,” and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional stability. The joint statement, released by the US, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, came after Iranian strikes targeted multiple countries in retaliation for US-Israel operations in Iran that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and members of his family.
The statement denounced the attacks as violations of sovereignty that endangered civilian populations and damaged infrastructure. “These unjustified strikes targeted sovereign territory, endangered civilians, and caused destruction of civilian infrastructure,” the governments said, emphasizing that Iran’s actions represent a destabilizing escalation in the region.

Unity in Defense and Regional Security
The seven nations reaffirmed their right to self-defense under international law, highlighting their commitment to protecting citizens and territorial integrity. “We stand united in defense of our citizens, sovereignty, and territory,” the statement said. The governments also praised effective air and missile defense coordination, which helped prevent greater casualties and destruction during the attacks.
Strengthening Security Cooperation
The acknowledgment underscores growing security cooperation between the US and Gulf partners amid rising threats from Tehran’s missile and drone capabilities. Analysts say the statement signals a coordinated regional approach to deter further Iranian aggression while reinforcing defense collaboration among the US and allied nations in West Asia. The move comes as tensions continue to escalate, raising concerns about broader regional stability and the safety of civilians across the affected countries.
