Bhubaneswar: Water level of Subernarekha river is rising again bringing fears of flood in the villages of Balasore district.

Sources said though water levels in other rivers of Odisha have started receding, Subernarekha is flowing close below to the danger mark of 10.36 meter.

Vast areas under Bhograi and Baliapala blocks in Balasore district have been inundated with flood waters.

Even people are taking help boats to travel from one place to another as flood water is flowing above the major roads in these blocks, sources added.

Meanwhile, Balasore district collector Arvind Agarwal said as the water level is still below the danger mark, there is nothing to fear about.

However, the district administration is fully prepared to meet any challenges, he added.
