A Poster That Speaks Through Stillness

Set against the entrance of a grand casino, the poster places Ganga in a world of wealth, risk, and quiet authority. Dressed simply and holding a gun with calm confidence, Nayanthara’s character appears composed and purposeful. There is no excess in her look — instead, her posture, gaze, and restraint suggest a woman who understands power and knows exactly how to wield it.

A New Screen Persona for Nayanthara

For Nayanthara, Toxic signals a shift toward a sharper, more contained screen presence. Known for emotionally expressive roles, her portrayal of Ganga appears rooted in stillness and clarity. She does not seek attention but commands it effortlessly, making silence and control her strongest tools.

Director Geetu Mohandas revealed that casting Nayanthara came from a desire to explore an unexplored dimension of her artistry. In a personal note, Geetu described how the actor and the character gradually aligned during filming. The depth, honesty, and restraint Nayanthara brought were not constructed traits, but qualities she already possessed, allowing Ganga to emerge naturally on screen.
