Amid the season of re-release, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are all set to reappear on-screen in their iconic roles of Karan and Arjun. The Khan duo's iconic movie Karan Arjun, released in 1995 and helmed by ace Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is scheduled for rerelease on November 22, 2024. Karan Arjun's release seems to have extremely excited Salman Khan as the Dabangg actor shared the new revamped teaser of Karan Arjun.
Salman took to social media and shared the revamped teaser with a caption reading, "Raakhi ji ne sahi kaha tha film mein ki mere Karan Arjun aayenge … November 22 ko duniya bhar ke cinema gharon mein!" (sic)
The new teaser gives a glimpse into the iconic movie's special sequences. The teaser shows the bond of Karan, Arjun and their mother, Karan and Arjun getting brutally killed, their mother begging infront of Goddess Kali to return his sons and the reincarnation of the duo returning and avenging their brutal murder from Thakur Durjan Singh.
The scenes certainly will take the audience on a nostalgic ride for sure.
Rakesh Roshan's superstar son Hrithik Roshan, who then assisted his father in the movie, also expressed his excitement. He shared the teaser with a caption reading, "Cinema was never the same again... When Karan Arjun came together on the big screen for the first time ever. Re- live the reincarnation of Karan Arjun in theatres worldwide from 22nd November 2024!" (sic)
Notably, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan teamed up for the first time in Karan Arjun. While veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar played the role of their mother, veteran actor Amrish Puri was seen as the antagonist. Mamta Kulkarni and Kajol were paired opposite Salman and Shah Rukh respectively. Johnny Lever, Arjun (Feroz Khan), Jack Gaud, Ranjeet and Aasif Sheikh were seen in supporting roles. The movie released on January 13, 1995, received positive reviews from critics and the audience. The fantasy action masala emerged as an all-time blockbuster by grossing over Rs 450 million. Over time, the movie achieved a cult classic status.

Notably, Rakesh Roshan wanted to cast Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh in the lead. However, both wanted to play different roles from the ones offered to them. Eventually, the duo backed out. Later, Roshan's choices were Aamir Khan and Salman. While Salman agreed to the offer, Aamir couldn't do it. Even, Shah Rukh agrees to return to the project. Thus, for the first time, SRK and Sallu appeared together on-screen to script history.
Meanwhile, rumours have been abuzz about a sequel to Karan Arjun. While there is no official confirmation regarding the matter, Karan Arjun 2 could definitely script another history.
