Mumbai: Director-producer Vipul Shah has expressed a desire to make an action film with Akshay Kumar and Vidyut Jamwal, who shot to fame with his performance in 2011 movie 'Force'.

Shah has had a long association with Akshay, who featured in most of his films - 'Aankhen', 'Waqt: The Race Against Time', 'Namastey London', 'Singh Is Kinng' and 'Action Replayy'.

Shah has worked with Jamwal in 'Force' and in upcoming film 'Commando', another action movie.

"I would love to write a script where I could have Akshay Kumar and Vidyut Jamwal together. It would be fantastic to see both Akshay, the superstar of action, and Vidyut, the new generation of action hero, doing something together. It would be amazing," Shah said here.

'Commando' is directed by a debutant, Dilip Ghosh, and stars Jamwal and model-actress Pooja Chopra. The film will release on April 12.

"I have never repeated myself with any genre. I would love to direct an action film. But having said that it is the script that decides whether I want to make it or not. It is just a coincidence, and not a conscious effort, that 'Force' and 'Commando' happened back to back," Shah said.

"We have had a few action scenes in 'Aankhen' and 'Singh is Kingg' is not in that category. It is just that I have not gone out and made an action film," he said.
