Prem Chopra’s Family Assures, 'No Need For Alarm'
As social media buzzed with concern and even unfounded death rumours about the veteran actor, his family quickly stepped in to put speculations to rest.
Speaking to India Today, his son-in-law Vikas Bhalla clarified that the hospital visit was merely a precautionary step, citing the actor’s advancing age.
“It’s all age-related, and a regular procedure. There is nothing to worry about,” said Bhalla, expressing confidence that Chopra would return home soon.
The actor is reportedly expected to be discharged within a few days.
Doctor Confirms Stable Condition
A report by IANS revealed that Chopra has been under observation for a heart condition compounded by a viral and lung infection. Dr. Jalil Parker, one of the doctors overseeing his treatment, explained that Prem Chopra was admitted two days ago under the care of his family cardiologist, Dr. Nitin Gokhale. The actor is receiving treatment for his heart and viral condition, but his health remains stable.
Dr. Parker clarified that Chopra is not in the ICU, but resting in a regular hospital room. He emphasised that these are age-related health issues, which naturally take longer to heal, yet affirmed that the veteran star is on the road to recovery and likely to be discharged within the next two to three days.
A Cinematic Journey That Defined Generations

His distinctive voice and suave villainy made him a household name in classics such as Nishan, Doli, Dostana, Kranti, Betaab, Loot, and Agent Vinod.
