Unfazed Yash holds ground amid Toxic–Dhurandhar 2 showdown in March 19

March is gearing up for a high-voltage box office showdown as Kannada superstar Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge are slated to hit cinemas on the same day. With both films carrying massive star power and fan anticipation, the unexpected clash has already stirred conversations across the industry.

According to a report, Yash is reportedly displeased with the makers of Dhurandhar for not informing him before locking in the same release date. A source revealed that Toxic was officially announced in December 2023, and its March release date was declared last year. The insider added that Yash is confident about his film’s strength and does not feel threatened by the competition. However, he reportedly expected a courtesy call, noting that such communication is common practice in southern film industries.

The source further stated that Yash does not wish to delay the film, as fans have been waiting for his return since the success of KGF: Chapter 2.

About Toxic and Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a period gangster drama featuring Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash, the film recently faced controversy over a teaser scene that drew objections from a Christian group.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, helmed by Aditya Dhar, continues the 2025 blockbuster’s story, focusing on Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza. The sequel promises intense action, with returning cast members including Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt.

With both films set for release on March 19, audiences are eagerly awaiting what could become one of the year’s biggest cinematic clashes.
