Three in One daughter of Anu Malik

Mumbai: Bollywood music-composer Anu Malik`s daughter Anmol, who has penned her first song `Graduation`, says, the film industry welcomes newer talent with open hands. With music in her genes, Anmol recorded her first song at a young age of eight for David Dhawan`s `Biwi No.1` and then for J P Dutta`s `Umrao Jaan`, when she was 15.

"The film industry is open to newer talents. Everyone, be it a star kid or non-star kid, all are welcomed here. There is space for everyone. It is your talent that matters the most," Anmol said in an interview. Anmol, who has sung the hit number — `Talli Main Talli Ho Gai` from the movie `Ugly aur Pagli`, is set to follow her father`s footsteps, as for her new song, Anmol has composed the music, written the lyrics and has also sung. "This is not my comeback song. The idea came when I was in school. It was a rough draft then. When I went to England for further studies, I completed the composition of this song and made my father hear it. He liked and instantly decided to produce the song," Anmol said.

"The song is about graduation from comfortable school life to a new and exciting stage in life. It is about hope of meeting old friends, cherishing memories," she said. After listening to Anmol`s song, Aamir Khan posted the song on his Facebook page, complemented and wished her luck. "I am overwhelmed that he (Aamir) liked, appreciated the song," Anmol said. She will be singing in filmmaker Nitin Manmohan`s upcoming movie, `Gali Gali Mein Shor Hain`, for which, her father has directed the music.
