In yet another instance of the growing crimes in Odisha's capital, a mutilated body of a youth was recovered from a bushy area near Khandagiri caves in Bhubaneswar. Dressed in sportswear, the youth’s body was found near a tree on Friday. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
While no exact reason for the death was ascertained, it is suspected that the youth has been killed. The miscreants later dumped his body at the isolated place. However, Khandagiri police are yet to confirm the suspected murder.
The matter came to the fore after some local youths spotted the body and informed the police. On the other hand, few suspect he may have died due to electrocution after coming in contact with a live wire.
On being informed, Khandagiri police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The body has been sent for autopsy while an investigation was launched.
