Bigg Boss 19 finally drew to a close with Gaurav Khanna lifting the winner’s trophy, but it wasn’t just the champion who captured the audience’s attention. Among the five finalists, spiritual influencer Tanya Mittal became one of the most talked-about contestants of the season.
Whether it was her vibrant saree collection or her extravagant claims of a luxurious lifestyle, Tanya stayed in the limelight throughout the show, earning both admiration and curiosity from viewers.
Despite finishing as the 3rd runner-up—behind first runner-up Farrhana Bhatt and second runner-up Pranit More—Tanya’s popularity soared, making her one of the standout personalities of the season.

“Searching for a Diamond in the Rough”: Tanya on Her Emotional Journey
In an exclusive conversation with Indian Express, Tanya described her Bigg Boss journey as an emotional roller coaster. She likened the experience to “searching for a diamond in the rough”—a phase filled with dust, darkness, and hardship before discovering something truly valuable.
She admitted that several moments almost broke her, pushing her emotional limits and making the journey extremely challenging. While she hasn’t yet found her “diamond,” Tanya believes she is on the right path and feels grateful for how far she has come. “I feel God has planned something very big for me, maybe that’s why I am going through all this,” she said, expressing optimism for the future.
From Jokes to Judgement: Tanya Reacts to the Criticism
Throughout the season, Tanya often became the centre of jokes—whether from housemates, guests, or even host Salman Khan. Her bold stories and extravagant statements frequently drew mixed reactions. Responding to this, Tanya said it is widely accepted when men live lavishly or move around with bodyguards, but when she does the same as a woman who isn’t a politician or a celebrity, it becomes questionable.
She also stated that women should not need their husbands’ permission to shop in Dubai and questioned stereotypes around who “deserves” security or luxury. “Should only Bollywood stars and politicians have bodyguards?” she asked, adding that she wants to feel like a star, too. “I am too much, and if they don’t find a man like this too much, they should not judge me either,” she said confidently.
Ekta Kapoor’s Offer and a New Chapter Ahead
Tanya’s journey took an unexpected turn when producer Ekta Kapoor noticed her during a Weekend Ka Vaar episode and offered her a show. Calling Ekta her childhood inspiration, Tanya expressed excitement and curiosity about what lies ahead. She hopes to meet the producer soon to understand the project better.
