Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Putting an end to weeks of tumultuous speculations, the Supreme Court of India on Wednesday ordered CBI investigation into the high-profile death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The apex court has directed Mumbai Police to hand over all the evidence collected in connection with the case so far to the CBI.
Dictating the order, the single bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy said, considering the contours of the power 406 of CrPC, Bihar Police is competent to handover the case to CBI and Mumbai Police must handover the case files to the central probe agency.
"It is court-ordered CBI investigation. Maharashtra govt must comply and assist", the bench of the apex court ruled directing the CBI to also look into any other cases registered in future in relation to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Shweta expressed her happiness with a series of tweets posted soon after the apex court verdict. Shweta also expressed her faith in the Central Bureau of Investigation. (CBI).
