Kolkata: Keen to gauge audience response to her lead role in film Megh Roddur, based on popular English movie Notting Hill, Bengali film star Subhasreee Ganguly said she was hopeful the movie will be a break from the usual Tollywood fare.

"Meghroddur is not like any other films I have turned up so far. As the name suggests the movie is refreshingly different from any other commercial films and I know people would rate my performance with Julia Roberts. But it is again not Notting Hill but Megh Roddur, which will shed new light on human relationships as usually portrayed in Bengali films with a new twist," Subhasree told PTI here this evening.

Asked whether she would love to turn up in a film themed on time, she said "The concept of time , how it travels and moves beyond our grasp is always interesting in a science fiction. And the very concept to hold to the present and go back to the past is something I believe is worth dwelling on in films.

"Even in Bengali movies which are making their marks due to the increasingly higher production quality and always rich content," she said.

Speaking on the occasion V.Ganesh, Associate Vice President & Business Head East-Titan Industries, said, "We intend to reach out to our consumers through different retail formats across the country and simultaneously grow the watch market."
