Kolkata: Having used many of the costumes used by Satyajit Ray, for the supernatural flick Jekhane Bhooter Bhoy, there was a conscious attempt to leave a typical imprint of the maestro on the films ambience, costume designer and member of the Ray household Lalita Roy said.

Lalita, daughter-in-law of the late Ray senior, told PTI after the special screening "going by the look of some of the characters and settings I used the clothes, or parts of the clothes to recreate the effect."

Sandip, Satyajit Ray's son and the film maker, said, "The music of the movie bears the signature tune of all works of my father and the ones which I have been introducing in all our productions. Make the audience sit up and connect with the film at the outset and bears the stamp of a work from our productions."

"I liked the first story Anathbabur Bhoy the most, perhaps also because it was so different from a typical ghost story. Don't know why Sandip is not taking me in his ghost films," the fictional Feluda aka Pradosh Chandra Mitter in Sandip Rays detective films on the popular Bengali sleuth Sabyasachi Chakroborty said after the show.

'Byomkesh' Abir Chatterjee, who turned up in the second psychic thriller Brownsaheber Bari, said, "Definitely I liked the second film the most since I am part of it."

"I am happy to be part of two spooky flicks of big ticket directors like Anikda (Dutta) and Sandip Ray" actor Saswata Chatterjee, who essayed the role of a writer in the last story" said alluding to his roles in Bhooter Bhabisyat (Anik) and Jekhane Bhooter Bhoy (Sandip).

"Over 80 per cent occupancy rate has been reported about the movie across the state in 50 single screen theatres and multiplexes apart from at plexes in Mumbai and Pune", Mahendra Soni of the producers Venkatesh film said.
